Blog 1: Introduction

Hi readers,

My name is Srivattsan Ramesh, but I go by Vatsan. This blog is being created for the purpose of my Engineering Design seminar (Edsgn015s) at Penn State University. So I'm a freshman at Penn State University and I want to pursue Mechanical Engineering.

I really love playing around with objects are tinkering with them. And that is why I chose mechanical engineering. Another reason why I chose mechanical engineering is because I love Formula 1 and so I started reading up on the technologies an design they use to run a car. And doing this got me really interested in cars. So I hope to join a Formula 1 team in the future as one of the lead engineers. I'm really intrigued by the way these cars work and run. They have really different features compared to all the other cars and that's what makes me very interested in it. In future posts on this blog, I want to elaborate more on this interest of mine and what separates F1 cars from the normal ones.

My idea of a bad invention is the nuclear fission. Nuclear fission can be used for many good purposes such as creating electricity. But the side effects of its wrong purpose is very harmful as dangerous. Yes, it's the Hydrogen bomb. Nuclear fission can be used for many good and useful such as the production of energy. But it is being used as bombs and the armies of almost each country use it in their arsenal. So I think this is a bad invention since it completely defies the purpose of its invention.
